Residential Solar
Solar Energy Company South Florida
Once there was an idea that residential solar power was all about hippies aiming to live off grid. Now as the cost, performance, and efficiency of solar power systems have evolved it is truly the case that solar power can offer benefits to any household. You don’t have to cover the outside of your home in unsightly panels to get the benefits and you will see the difference in your utility bill from day one. Solar power is proving so popular that research suggests a new homeowner is going solar pretty much every 90 seconds. Every single day the sun puts out enough energy to power not just your home but the whole planet; so isn’t it about time you got your cut?
Why Go Solar?
Save the planet, save money, and add value to your home all in one smooth move. Modern solar panels integrate elements like inverters into the back of the panel so ther2e are no ugly boxes, just slick looking panels on your roof adding value to your home. It’s not just roofs either – we can use outbuildings or waste land on your property to install your own miniature power grid.
Off Grid
Living off grid isn’t the fantasy it once was. With the latest in storage technology it is possible not only to power up when the sun is shining but continue to use stored electricity from your own battery bank to keep the lights on throughout the night, cloudy days, or winter months. Once this was the stuff of survivalists or dreamers but now this concrete reality means you can literally say goodbye to that utility bill forever. Talk to us today to find out more.
Grid-tie
You don’t have to go off grid and there are many benefits to retaining your connection to the power grid. For a start it becomes your back up for any time when the sun isn’t powering your own home. That also means that you can decide just how much of your power you want to generate from the sun and gives you the option of a less expensive partial solar system that costs far less to install but still gives you bill busting performance. Because the grid is effectively your back up system a grid-tie approach also goes a long way to removing the need for storage technology and that also reduces cost and makes solar ever more affordable and easy to install.
Net Metering
Net metering is a fantastic idea that not only allows you to benefit from both your own solar power production and the national grid with grid-tie but to actually go one step further. As well as not being charged when you are using your own power you can actually feed power back into the grid and this will be credited against the power you use at night or at any point when you are not self-sufficient. In effect you are actually turning your electricity meter backwards as you feed back into the grid, wiping away the costs of energy that you used when the sun wasn’t shining. Traditionally Florida utility companies have resisted this but as of 2019 that picture is changing and the leasing rules that allow third party power producers to feed back into the grid are changing.
